And he said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground. He sleeps and rises night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows; he knows not how. The earth produces by itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. Heavenly Father, I don’t understand how seeds grow into plants and produce food for us to eat. I don’t understand how Your Kingdom grows, but I do understand that the seed has to be scattered before it grows, and the seed of Your Word has to be scattered before it grows into Your Kingdom. Help me to live my life in such a way that it is seed for Your Kingdom. Empower me by the Holy Spirit to speak the words others need to hear. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
