Scripture for the Third Thursday in Lent

“There was a rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and who feasted sumptuously every day. And at his gate was laid a poor man named Lazarus, covered with sores, who desired to be fed with what fell from the rich man’s table.” ~ Luke 16:19-21

Heavenly Father, I am not rich, and there is no poor man lying at my gate begging for food. But I have all I need, and many others don’t. Lead me in Your ways to feed the hungry and help those in need. In the name of Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Ghost ever one God, world without end. Amen.
