Lillie, I might be a little bit busybody, but I was wondering, how’s the progression so far of this “New Voice” competition?

      wilson,

I’m not running the competition any more, just helping promote it and serving as a judge. So I don’t know how many entries have been received, but in previous years we have received lots of entries from all over the world. But also every year, most of the entries were received in the last few days. I’m confident it will be the same this year.

Thanks for sharing about New Voices. I hope some of your young writer friends enter the contest.

That’s the beauty of this plug-in. :D By the way, this is a great contest. Too bad I can’t enter it even if I stumbled across this earlier.

          John,
Glad you recognize the value of KeywordLuv and how to use it. I’m amazed at how many comments I get from people who don’t use it right. I don’t know how to explain it any better without writing a book above the comment box. :-)

Most of my commenters can’t enter the contest, but I post hoping that many know young writers to pass on the information.

  3. Clayton from Emily Hughes says:

I’m a big fan of programs like this which encourage young writers. For me, anything that gets kids and young adults to spend their time writing and reading is an excellent investment.

  4. Bill from Budweiser T-shirts says:

This sounds like a great competition, i wish i would have found out about it earlier, my daughter loves to read and is always writing her own stories. i’ll mark it down on the calendar for next year. thanks.

    • Lillie says:

      Bill,
Her entry doesn’t have to be written specifically for the contest. If she has written something that fits the criteria for length, she can enter it.

  5. loan modifications dude says:

me too. wish that i found this site sooner

    • Lillie says:

loan (if you wrote YourName@Keywords, I could address you as a real person and you would still get your keyword link),

Be sure to pass the word on this contest to young writers you know for next year. Also tell teachers who might be interested in having their students enter.

  6. Pat from West Florida Components says:

I just saw this post so I missed the deadline, but I forwarded the site to the English teacher at my daughter’s high school so they can promote it next year.

Just as the history teacher recommends the National History Day program, writing programs such as Epic New Voices should be promoted in the schools

      Pat,
Thank you for sharing New Voices with your daughter’s English teacher. This is a great way to give students an opportunity to show off their work and gain valuable feedback.

Thanks for sharing about New Voices.

    • Lillie says:

      You’re welcome, ajay.

Though the deadline has passed for this year, I hope people will make a note to watch for it next year.

  8. Francis from modern sofa says:

Hey, my nephew joined in this contest but I have no idea on what the results are. He’s from Chicago, any updates on this one? Thanks!

  9. Val@Zero Gifts says:

My niece joined this contest, too! She was so excited about this contest but unfortunately, she didn’t won. Nevertheless, the opportunity and her experience in joining this contest means a lot to her and developed her writing skills better.

    • Lillie says:

      Val,

We’re gearing up for this year’s contest, which will open this fall. Encourage your niece to try again.
