About the Book

On Sunday, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. He was greeted with cries of “Hosanna to the Son of David.” By week’s end, He was arrested, betrayed by one of His own disciples, and sentenced to death on the cross. The shouts of the crowds were now “Crucify Him.” But everything Jesus went through that week was to atone for our sins, to pay the penalty for our evil deeds, to be the once-for-all sacrifice for the whole world. His final words on the cross, “It is finished,” pronounced the end of the old covenant, which required animal sacrifice for atonement, and the beginning of the new covenant, where all our sins, past, present, and future, have already been paid for by Jesus’s atoning death on the cross if we but accept His gift of life. The events of that week changed the world and saved millions of souls.

From “Hosanna” to “It Is Finished” includes a daily Scripture, meditation, and prayer for every day between Ash Wednesday and Easter. May you be blessed by these Scriptures, thoughts, and prayers during this holy season.

All proceeds benefit Love for the Least, a missionary movement in the Middle East and Africa.
