Lemonade Award

March 30, 2009 by Lillie

lemonade_standDeb S. at Media by Sistrunk honored this blog with the Lemonade Award, which ”recognizes sites that show great attitude and/or gratitude.”

I’m especially grateful for this recognition because I wasn’t familiar with Deb’s blog. To be recognized by a blogger new to me was a special honor. Thank you, Deb. Now that I’ve discovered your blog, I’ve subscribed and look forward to reading more.

Here are the rules:

  1. Put the logo on your blog or post.
  2. Nominate at least 10 blogs that show great attitude and/or gratitude.
  3. Be sure to link to your nominees within your post.
  4. Let them know that they have received this award by commenting on their blog.
  5. Nominate your favorites, and link to this post.

And the nominees are … :

  • Brooke, The Bluestocking Guide, whose reviews reflect her personality and attitude
  • Catherine Lawson, Cath Lawson, who shares her struggles and her strength
  • Joanna Young, Confident Writing, who helps us all become more confident
  • James Doughty, Doughty Families, who posts wonderful motivational quotes
  • Robert Hruzek, Middle Zone Musings, whose posts are entertaining and encouraging
  • Renea Brumbaugh, Morning Coffee, who reflects an attitude of faith
  • Helen Ginger, Straight from Hel, who is both realistic and positive about publishing
  • Brad Shorr, Word Sell, who shows a great attitude toward business and social media
  • Karen Swim, Words for Hire, who inspires and touches with her eloquent words
  • Jeanne Dininni, Writer’s Notes, who always shows gratitude to readers

There are others deserving of this award, but I’ll leave some blogs for my nominees to recognize. :-) Some of you may choose not to respond; just know that I appreciate the attitude and gratitude you exhibit on your blog.

I just wanted to let you know that I absolutely love this blog as well as your thoughts and ideas.

If I had an award to give you, I would. Keep up the great work, Lillie. :)

    • Lillie says:

Thanks, Jenny! I think most of these awards are created by bloggers who want to both recognize other blogs they like and get links to their own blogs. Somehow the originator tends to get lost along the way, though.

  9. sriraj from the web feed says:

Congrats lillie for the ‘Lemonade award’ and to all nominees as well.
Will there be a final winner from your nominee list, just to make it more interesting?

    • Lillie says:

      sriraj,

It would be too difficult to choose one best from the list. Nominees may not be the best choice of words—they have all won the award—but I used the terminology that was used previously.

  10. Bluestocking says:

Thanks Lillie!! I got the comments working again.

    • Lillie says:

      Bluestocking,

Glad you got comments working again. The comment I was going to leave last night was to tell you about the award, but I’m sure I’ll have more comments on posts you’re adding.

  11. Karen Swim says:

Lillie, you bring out the best in everyone so I am not surprised that you were honored. :-) It’s been a long day and as promised I came here with my cup of tea in hand to visit with you and share a bit of cheer. I always feel inspired when I come here. I really appreciate you sharing the award but even more than that I really appreciate you!
