The number of comments was actually down a little this month. I’m tightening up my comment policy and getting stingy with my approval.
It would be nice to have a blog so popular that I couldn’t respond to all the comments, but I’m not holding my breath for that to happen. Blogging is my entertainment. Other people might watch TV or go to a movie or participate in a sports activity. I blog, respond to comments, and read—blogs and books.
Since I do this for fun, I don’t bother with SEO or write posts designed to attract huge numbers of readers. I just write what interests me and hope there are a few people that find the same things interesting.
