They are listed here because my new policy didn’t take effect until September 1. However, in the future these comments will be treated as spam. The number of comments was actually down a little this month. I’m tightening up my comment policy and getting stingy with my approval.
It would be nice to have a blog so popular that I couldn’t respond to all the comments, but I’m not holding my breath for that to happen. Blogging is my entertainment. Other people might watch TV or go to a movie or participate in a sports activity. I blog, respond to comments, and read—blogs and books.
Since I do this for fun, I don’t bother with SEO or write posts designed to attract huge numbers of readers. I just write what interests me and hope there are a few people that find the same things interesting.

That’s an interesting idea, that commenters shape the content. I guess in a way they do-it’s natural to write more on topics that get a lot of comments. However, since my blog is purely for fun for me, I tend to write about whatever strikes my fancy at any given moment.
