National Good News Day
June 21, 2007 by Lillie
Do you get depressed reading the newspaper or watching TV news? Do you wish somebody would report the GOOD news for a change?
Gimundo is a Web site devoted to reporting only good news. You’ll find encouraging stories, uplifting words, and inspiring videos. You can read about heroic actions, medical advances, environmental progress, caring celebrities, and good news about families and pets.
Today, June 21st, is Good News Day … but maybe we could benefit from paying more attention to good news every day of the year.

Oh neat! I’m checking that out, and will probably add it to my bookmarks! Thanks, Lillie!

Hope you enjoy it, Lisa. I figure we all can use a dose of good news every day.
Lillie,
Thanks for sharing this site. I heard of it a while back, but forgot to check it out.
It supports something that I really believe in!
Staying positive!
Thanks!

Hope you enjoy it, Sylvia. I, too, believe in staying positive.
Hey, check out Happynews.com too.
They’ve been at this similar vein of happy news for a while too!
Love it!
SEO Ninji,
Thanks for the link to HappyNews.com. I’m going to post a follow-up to this message and include it.
I believe in staying positive, too. Positive thinking is really important to me and even though a lot of people say that it isn’t real or doesn’t work, I’ve found that it does.
As for the site, I bookmarked it and will definitely keep going back there. I love to see some good news for a change. I don’t even watch the news anymore or read the paper because it seems like everything is death and destruction. This cheered me up a lot. Thanks for posting it!
Michi,
I’m glad this was encouraging to you. I have learned from firsthand experience that staying positive makes a big difference. In therapy after my stroke, I made much more progress than some of the patients who had less-severe strokes than I did. The therapists attributed the difference to my positive attitude – coupled with hard work (physical therapy to regain mobility after being paralyzed was the hardest work I’ve ever done). While the hard work was critical, the positive attitude made the difference in whether I was willing to do the work … or simply decide it wasn’t worth it.
