George,

These passages from Isaiah are among my favorites in the Bible so I was delighted to find this video.

Thank you Lillie for sharing this. Very powerful.

I have never been able to bring myself to watch gibson’s movie – just too heart rendering.

Many Easter Blessings.

Robin,

I know what you mean. I have watched the entire movie only once—the first time it was screened at our church, a year or two after it came out. Our church shows it every year on Good Friday following the Way of the Cross.

I’m glad I saw it—even though I had to turn my face away several times because I couldn’t bear to watch all the scenes. It really emphasized to me what a great sacrifice our Lord made for us in a way that nothing else has, though I thought i had a good understanding.

Now I just watch little snippets of it at a time.

Isaiah 53 is a very powerful passage of scriptures. I like when it says it pleased God to bruise his Son. That tells me he really wants all of us to be healed because of the sacrifice of his son.

John,

This is a powerful and moving Scripture. As you say, it really makes us realize how much God loves us and wants to save us.
