Clergy Appreciation Day/Month

October 9, 2011 by

I am blessed to belong to an orthodox, Spirit-filled church, All Saints Anglican Church in San Antonio. Our priests are Godly men who love the Lord and their parishioners, and their parishioners love them in return. Both are staunch in their beliefs and never hesitate to correct when correction is needed, but correction is always done with love.

During Clergy Appreciation Month, I thank God for Father Chip Harper and Father Ed Morgan.

I hope you appreciate your own clergy and honor them during Clergy Appreciation Month.

Booksigning

November 5, 2010 by

The booksigning at the All Saints Fall Festival last weekend was great fun. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, and there were lots of things to eat, see, and do.

I enjoyed visiting with the authors who participated in the signing with me. We had the middle two tables in this photo (courtesy of All Saints parishioner Bill Wimp).

We didn’t sell out of books :-) but we had a great time, met some new folks, and got to visit with friends.

I’m excited to be signing books along with five of my clients:

Check out the websites of participating authors. I was honored to work with each of them editing their books and preparing them for publication. I’m confident you’ll be happy with any book you buy at the signing, including Dream or Destiny.

Clergy Appreciation Day: Appreciating My Clergy

October 11, 2009 by

On Clergy Appreciation Day, I want to express my personal appreciation for the clergy at my church, All Saints Anglican: Father Chip Harper and Father Ed Morgan.

In a post on a previous Clergy Appreciation Day, I told more about these two men of God.

The Bible tells us:

Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. ~ Hebrews 13:7 (NIV)

One of the best things we can do for our clergy is to pray:

ALMIGHTY God, giver of all good things, who by thy Holy Spirit hast appointed divers Orders of Ministers in thy Church; Mercifully behold thy servants Father Chip and Father Ed and so replenish them with the truth of thy Doctrine, and adorn them with innocency of life, that, both by word and good example, they may faithfully serve thee in their Office, to the glory of thy Name, and the edification of thy Church; through the merits of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the same Holy Spirit, world without end. Amen.
