Blog Action Day 2012

October 15, 2012 by

Today is Blog Action Day. Thousands of bloggers around the world are posting on the theme of “The Power of We.” I wrote my post a few days early. You can read it at Blog Action Day 2012: The Power of We.

Let’s remember that the “Power of We” can apply to large groups (political activists making a change in government), a midsize group (a neighborhood group building a safe playground for the children of the area), or a small group (a few neighbors getting together to take turns running errands for a disabled person on their street). The size of the group and the size of the project don’t matter—what matters is that people come together to meet a need or accomplish a goal that none of them could accomplish on their own.

  1. Good to see you taking part Lillie :-)

I really liked your post. I think too many people focus on big things, and not enough see what a difference a small community or even an individual can make. In your case, your friends were the power which helped you.

If you are interested, my post is a bit of a jumbled mess this year, and can be found here: http://www.technologybloggers.org/news/blog-action-day-2012/

This is like a god initiative taken up by all the bloggers on this blog action day. The power of we can achieve anything in this world very easily as it would include the efforts of the multi talented bloggers and content writers.

  5. Smith from NYC Weddings says:

I think the power of ‘we’ is a concept that we can use in all phases of life. It could be as you said in helping someone who needs you or it could be in getting together for a cause that affects the nation. I am glad that you wrote about it Lillie. it is always a pleasure reading what you have to say.

  6. I read your post on the power of ‘we’. This topic and your post reaffirms my belief that when we come together, we can bring about a change, be it a small change or a big one.

I think this is one of the those things that you have to see to believe. We have seen when individuals come together, they accomplish great things and I am sure if everyone decides to work with the other for the greater good, we could see change sweeping around the whole world.

  8. The real power lies in deeds of kinds and these small acts should be for those who are too old and for special persons.

  9. Hi Lillie,

As the saying goes “United We Stand, Divided We Fall”, your post signifies that. Loved your post on the theme “The Power of We”. People should always stand together no matter what then only they will have the ability to conquer the world and stand for their right. Great Post Lillie!

  11. Elaine Salt from Property ManagementManagement says:

This is a good reminder. The power of “WE” is necessary, not just “I”. We are interrelated to each other, and we need to work together as we work as one for change.

  12. Jeannie from Buy Domain Names says:

A few people blogging about a common interest or goal can make a big difference.

An example I saw was on a marketing forum and someone was fighting cancer. A number of people put together offers for sale and blogged about it to help raise money for the therapy she would need.
