Happy 45th Anniversary to Us!

Hard as it is to believe, Jack and I have been married 45 years today. I wrote about our life together on our anniversary last year, and I invite you to read Happy 44th Anniversary to Us! We still enjoy our weekly dates to grocery shop at Walmart and have breakfast at Denny’s. However, when we get home, we put away only the perishable items and leave the rest for our wonderful home helper Betsy Gonzales. She’s a treasure and takes wonderful care of us.
Happy anniversary, Jack! I love you more today than I did 45 years ago.

Happy 45th Anniversary to you and Jack. Its so heartening to see that love like this still exists. Today marriages are more of a joke, but seeing you has made me believe that nothing has changed. At our age, there is very little we need, and we prefer to enjoy time with each other than to give each other gifts. We spent a leisurely day together then went out to our favorite restaurant for a special dinner.

It’s hard to believe that our college days were so long ago. The years have flown by!
How I wish we could reach that long. We will surely have renewal of vow by then with our kids and grandchildren.

The 45th was our last anniversary. Jack died two days ago. I was so blessed to have been his wife for all that time.
