multicoloured tulipsHappy Mother’s Day!

May each reader enjoy a special day:

  • If you’re a mother, may you be honored and pampered by your children.
  • If you have a mother, may you enjoy special time honoring and pampering her.
  • If your mother is no longer with you, may you recall special memories of your times together.
  • If you know a mother without a family, may you stand in the stead of children for her and make her day meaningful.
  • If you are estranged from your family, may this be the day you forgive each other and start a new loving relationship.

Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. ~ Exodus 20:12 (ESV)

ALMIGHTY God, we give you thanks for mothers who love and care for us and entrust our mothers who are so dear to us to thy never-failing care and love, for this life and the life to come; knowing that thou art doing for them better things than we can desire or pray for; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

  1. A lot of blessings to all of mothers. I think there is no alternative of mother in this world. It is one of the precious gift of life.

      Maja,

Mothers are truly a blessing. Most of them are incredibly loving and caring and selfless. However, I have known a few mothers who had addiction or psychological problems, yet their children still had a strong loving bond with them even though the mothers weren’t able to care for their children properly. That mother-child bond is God-given.

      • @Lille parents especially mother are great gift and very innocents.I have seen in this world that one mother can serve 6 kids but unfortunately 6 kids can’t properly do care of one mother. God has gifted mother a kind and big heart. I think this world is beautiful because of mothers.

        • Lillie says:

And being a mother is the most important job in the world, Maja. God entrusted the care and nurturing of future generations to mothers–without them the future would be bleak.

  5. Nobody can take position of your mother. The care and comfort will never be replaced. Happy mother’s day to all mothers for very small thing they have done for their child. We should make them feel special on such days. It’s a special day made for special people.

My relationship with my mom was a little strained for the past few weeks but after reading your post and the following comments I realized no fight is worth staying away from your mother. I spoke to her after long time it was so nice. I really missed her a lot. She is my best friend and not talking to her was making me more miserable. I am happy to say that now everything is well between me and my mother. This mothers day I promised her I won’t ever fight with her again no matter what happens.

    • Lillie says:

      Steve,

I am so happy to hear that your mom and have restored your relationship. You are so right–nothing should interfere with that relationship. It’s wonderful that you took action and didn’t let your disagreement continue any longer.

This world would be much of a better place if we had female rulers. Women tend to be understanding, patient and compassionate. Women are the pillar of any home around the world. Modern women are far different from before, now we can never underestimate any women. Thanks for sharing your views. This is really a wonderful post.
