Thanks to May 2011 Commenters
June 17, 2011 by Lillie

Thank you to the 86 commenters who left 123 comments in May. Your comments extended the conversation and added value and interest, and I enjoyed replying to every one of them.
Every month when I post thanks to commenters, I get questions about how I compile this list. I have explained my system in detail in Compiling Thanks to Commenters.

Thank you so much for including me in your list! I definitely appreciate it! I should comment more often, but I do read your posts in my RSS feed!
R.J.,
I understand about reading in a feed reader and not commenting. I read everything in a reader, and a post has to really capture my attention for me to click over and comment. Right now, I’m several days behind in reading blogs, so I will skim through them in a hurry. It’s hard to keep up with all the good stuff online.
Thanks
Your list always makes me smile on the inside and outside.
Mia,
I’m glad you’re smiling inside and outside.
Lillie, I say this every month and it seems to be loosing it’s value, but I really mean it: “Thanks for the mention!!!!!”
BTW, a totally revamped CommentLuv plugin has been released, when you get some time why not give it a try? Just a thought
Christopher,
Keep saying it. Sometimes I wonder if the thank-you posts are losing their value, so it helps to know you appreciate them.
I updated CommentLuv recently. Do I need to uninstall and reinstall? What is different that I’m missing?
Lillie, thank you for including me. I always enjoy reading your blog. You always seem to have something interesting to say. I, too, appreciate the “thank you” posts. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the support, Dawn.
Why don’t you include a comments feed page? Writing on a monthly basis simply seems to be a waste of time. With comment feed your site will gradually attract more visitors. Also it looks very much professional. And with the time saved, you can add some more articles in the blog.
Jo,
Obviously I’m not professional enough or smart enough to know what you’re talking about. Please help me understand what comments feed you mean that is different from the comments feed I already have and why it is more effective at giving individual commenters an do-follow link to their site or blog in addition to the one they get in the comment itself.
cheers to them
mike
Mike,
And cheers to you for a creative way to get yourself on the list next month.
From the above list that you got I can assume that you really moderate all the comments in this blog and spam can never be here.
Congrats to all the winners and I hope I can be a part of the list next time.
rachel,
I won’t promise that spam never gets through. There have been a few times when spammers fooled me at first, but then when they posted a second comment that was obviously spam, I deleted their first comment and banned them. Sometimes, I delete comments rather than mark them as spam when I’m not sure. But I try hard to include all legitimate comments and no spam.
I didn’t knew about the existence of your blog in may 2011 but now I know and I try to do my best for you and your blog.
Have a nice day
Marius,
Hope to see you here often.
You touch people’s lives with your blog posts, that is why you have more people reading and commenting to your blogs. Keep up the good works and continue to touch and inspire others with your stories.
Thank you for the lovely compliment, Jane!
Hi lillie,
You really give credits to all of your commenters. It is like as if giving medals to honors students. I hope I will be one soon.
Jerry,
You will be at or near the top in September, which will be posted in mid to late October.
