Read your novelette, Trapped by Love. Thanks for offering it for free. It’s a simple story that is easy to read and I enjoyed it.

Audrey,
Glad you enjoyed my novelette. I’m a pretty simple person, so everything I write is simple.
Thanks for the head up! Until when are your books on sale?
Jovit,
As the post says, the sale is for the month of July. To you can order between now and July 31.
Lillie, thanks for the heads up on the sale! Perfect time of year to catch up on what I missed.

Karen,
Hope you find some great reads for summer enjoyment.
I still prefer to hold a paper book in my hands, than an e-reader.It’s much more persona, turning one page after another… So, I won’t be able to take advantage of this offer, but I have to admit that i’ve seen some nice titles there.
Mia,
To each his own, as the saying goes. If you really prefer print books, enjoy them.
In my experience, most of the people who insist they will read paper only have never even tried an e-book reader. They have their closed mind made up, and don’t try to change it.
Of course, I would never try to change anyone’s mind. I think there is a place for both print and e-books. The novels I have with a publisher are available in both print and electronic editions, and I’m delighted with people buying either one.
I may actually start reading some print now as I’ve just got new glasses after cataract surgery and may actually be able to decipher print again. However, I know I will always prefer an e-reader because it is so much lighter and easier to hold and has so many features that a print book doesn’t have. And I will always be grateful that e-book readers are available for people with limited vision who can’t print and for people who have other disabilities that make physically holding an awkward book difficult.
Hey Lillie,
I just finished reading Trapped by Love and all I can say is WOW! Great story! Your writing style is so incredibly descriptive that I actually felt like I was a fly on the wall trapped with Lori & Derek in the elevator!
I also must disagree with the first comment about the story being simple. While it may be “simple” in the fact that it takes place over only a couple hours in an elevator, I actually think there is quite a bit of depth to it in terms of the love situation that a lot of people can relate to.
Although it might not be the same dynamic as a secretary and boss, I think most people can relate to having secret feelings for somebody, but because of certain circumstances they have to keep quiet about it. I think you have done a wonderful job in capturing that dynamic and laying it out in this story. All I can say is kudos and well done!!
For anybody else who is reading this blog, I highly recommend you take the 20 or so minutes it takes to read Trapped by Love and you will see what I am saying.
You really are a talented writer Lillie and I’m glad that you have made some of your work available for free! Thanks for sharing!
Jeremiah,
Thanks for the effusive praise! I’m glad you enjoyed the story and hope you’ll leave a few of these words in a review at Smashwords.
Hey Lillie, my apologies for the delay on this, but I finally wrote a review on Smashwords for this story. I gave you a much deserved 5 stars! Keep up the good work!
Thanks, Jeremiah! I read the wonderful review and really appreciate it.
Hi Lillie,
will start reading “Trapped by Love” now and let you know about feelings and impressions about it when I am finished. Was very impressed about the feedback you got here…
Arthur,
I hope you enjoy it!

What a deal! I can’t wait to get my hands on these stories. Thanks a lot for this great opportunity, Lillie!
Valor,
Hope you find some great reading material, including my e-books.
This is a great technology. Imagine you’re just like bringing your library with this device. Its so convenient to use. But on the other hand, I still love the smell of the pages of the books =)
Not sure what device you’re talking about, gnemeno. Smashwords is an e-book publisher and publishes books in formats for a number of different devices as well as to read on your computer.
And I really don’t understand this thing about the smell of books.
I don’t read for smell—I read for information or entertainment. It’s a mental and emotional experience, not a physical, smelly experience.
