Guest Post at Visual Arts Junction
February 13, 2010 by Lillie
In my recent interview with Aggie Villanueva, Aggie shared a little about her experiences in self-publishing. Now she’s writing a series on self-publishing at Visual Arts Junction.
I’m honored that Aggie asked me to write a guest post on finding the right editor. Even though the article is geared for self-publishing authors, writers who are seeking an editor to polish their manuscript before submitting to traditional publishers will also find helpful tips. I hope you’ll stop by and say hell0.

Hurray.. We are glad too for being chosen as the guest writer at visual arts junction. Editing is one of the important task in any writers agenda, and if done wrongly entire article goes for a toss. I am heading off to read your contribution on visual arts junction. ciao.

Thanks, Alan. Hope you enjoy the article.
Thank you for the post. I read it through Visual Arts Junction. It is a comprehensive article about finding the right editor. I hope you could include a directory of editors available as well. Thanks.
Ron,
It’s hard to come up with a directory of editors. If I compiled such a list, I would want to personally check out each one to feel comfortable recommending them, and that would take too much time. If I just compiled a list of every editor who asked to be included, it would be of no more value than doing a Google search—maybe less because some people would assume that being on the list indicated some degree of competency, even if there is a disclaimer.
Hi Lille,
The fact that you were chosen to provide a guest editorial slot is testament to your excellent writing skills, so congratulations should be aimed in your direction, well done!
