That’s a very compelling and uplifting opening prayer. I am a Christian and I enjoy quiet prayer time always. :)

Chiropractor (if you wrote Your Name @ Chiropractor, I could address you as a real person – instead of the job title of the person who caused me to have a stroke, and you would still get your keyword link),

Compelling and uplifting to be sure.

When I visited your blog and saw the header ‘That’s my King’ under the recent posts, I thought that would be a post about Jack Ammann, your Hero.
Nevertheless, a very inspiring video shared here.

  5. Even as someone who isn’t a christian, or religious at all in general, I think this really is a compelling speech. Public speakers and presenters everywhere could learn from this guy.

I love the inspiration behind this prayer, especially in the way it is presented. I also have great appreciation from my Baptist roots growing up!

I’ve had a link to this on our church’s Web site for a long time. Every time I watch it I am moved as you describe.

    This video is very inspiring.

  12. Irene says:

The message is inspirational, but I can’t help and notice the impact of the images associated with the right words! This is a good speech technique.

    • Lillie says:

      Irene,

The original recording was only audio. There are actually several different video versions compiled by different people with different images. They were all well-done, and I had a hard time choosing the one I thought was most effective.

  13. Rod from Wilson Portable says:

Wow, I first heard this years ago as a young Christian – it’s just as inspiring as ever. The amazing thing is he sounds like he’s just improvising; it’s not necessarily something he’s sat down and crafted – he’s just letting out what’s on the inside.

He is an awesome king, Isn’t he? You can see him all the wonders of creation. Bless the soul of the pastor because he knew the true king. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Hope we all can see the king as he did.
