Memorial Day 2009
May 25, 2009 by Lillie
The video shows the Memorial Day observance at Arlington in 2007, accompanied by Trace Atkins singing “Arlington.”
ALMIGHTY God, our heavenly Father, in whose hands are the living and the dead; We give thee thanks for all thy servants who have laid down their lives in the service of our country. Grant to them thy mercy and the light of thy presence, that the good work which thou hast begun in them may be perfected; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord. Amen.

Lillie, Happy Memorial Day and we should pay our salute to the warriors who have been scarified themselves for the country!

Thank you, wilson. I hope you had a great Memorial Day, also.
By the way, have you watched the Memorial Day Concert 2009? I loved the concert very much, especially the brilliant pianist, Lang lang!

No, I don’t know about the concert. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Happy Memorial day all! That is a great video Lillie, That song brings tears to my eyes and a chill to my spine everytime I hear it. It was even more profound to have it done at Armington. Thanks again for the video!

Yes, indeed, let us salute our fallen heroes and thank them for their sacrifice.
Great article, really makes you appreciate what those that have served our country have done. Thanks.
Kevin,
The video is a powerful reminder of what many brave men and women have done for our freedoms.
It really has a sad theme. I admire to those who serve and sacrifice for the country. They are indeed great heroes.
Andy,
Yes, it is sad. I can’t imagine losing a loved one serving our country. It would be such a combination of sorrow at the personal loss and pride in the loved one’s willingness to sacrifice for a better world.
this is really significant for Memorial Day, especially since it’s in Arlington. Good to see.
C,
It’s from a couple of years ago, but it was the most current I could find. Naturally I couldn’t find one for this year in time to post it.
