The Taylors Coming to Visit
May 18, 2009 by Lillie
On the Wings of the Wind: A Journey to Faith by Patricia Eytcheson Taylor and the Rev. James C. Taylor was released about a year and a half ago. I announced the release of the book, but I hadn’t started interviewing authors on my blog at that time.
Although the book isn’t new, it is very timely now. In difficult times, many people seek a closer relationship with the Lord. The Taylors’ book is a guide to do that. Pat shares her spiritual journey from her despair at the death of her first husband through a deeper faith and closer relationship with the Holy Spirit to her marriage and sharing ministry with James, an Army chaplain (now retired).
I’ll be interviewing Pat and James on Friday, so be sure to come by to hear their story.

Lillie, it sounds that the Taylors is a very lovely and passionate couple! I must spend some time to read on the interview on this upcoming Friday…

wilson,
I think you will enjoy the interview. The Taylors are lovely and passionate.
Been going through your blog and reading some old posts, just wondering…how many books have your written? Is it difficult to get published? I had an idea for a photo book once, but thought it to be a very tough thing to get published.
okinawa (if you wrote YourName@Keywords, I could address you as real person, and you would still get your keyword link),
Most of the books I’ve written are listed on the Books page of this site. One nonfiction book about network marketing is now out of print.
Getting published can be very tough. There was a survey several years ago that showed romance authors wrote an average 7 books and had been writing for an average of 7 years before they made their first sale. Most writers have one or more “practice” books they use to learn the craft.
However, anyone can self-publish their own work. Unfortunately that means there are a lot of really bad books self-published every year so the good ones have a hard time getting noticed.
Read through other posts here—I’ve written extensively about getting published.
Okinawa Marine,
Hi, You asked how I got started writing, with prayer. Sitting down one morning and asked the Lord to help me write about my horse and the children. I had grown up with horses and have such a deep love for them. My work was picked up within a week. I was told that was unheard of. No one has their work picked up that quick. But you see, when the Lord is involved all things is possible.
My publisher was close in hand and he sent me then onto elementary schools to talk about horses and children who deeply love horses. There was no stress on me, just giving my love to all. My publisher was amazed on how well I did.
I then turned to the Lord again when I lost my husband and met a wonderful Army chaplain that found my notes that matched the scriptures in the bible and thats how my book ” On The Wings of The Wind” came about.
Having the belief and strong faith in God, you can do everything. Please read our blog on our Memorial Day and pass it on to help others. http://www.onthewingsofthewind.com
My editor on the blog is wonderful to help all in writing and editing.
Blessings,
Pat and James
Hey Lillie. When will you publish anything about the interview. I have read the book and were very fascinated by it. They are an adorable couple. I wish I had grandparents like them.
Gus,
I’ll post the interview on Friday, and the Taylors will be here to answer questions then as well. They will be glad to hear you have read and enjoyed their book.
Hi Gus,
Thank you for the wonderful complement. Being born to such a wonderful mother and very sickly, she always kept me close to God by saying, he is the truth, the way, and the life. And how right she was.
If only everyone would let God lead them as the bible says, our body is his temple and for us to take care of it and trust him, he will led us to an incredible life. And I have proof as the book tells you, God is the truth, the way, and the life.
Every morning I read to myself, Psalm l03:l-5 in the bible.
In today’s world, reading that scripture, I leave the house with no fear as I know God is with me.
Blessings,
Chaplain James and Pat
I agree – no better time than now to turn to God. In fact, I like to turn to Him when things are going well. Thanking Him for what I have is just as necessary to me as seeking shelter when times are tough.
Excellent point, Lori. We always need to remember that what we have didn’t come from our own power but from His and to thank Him for everything.
Right on, Lori.
Keep reading Psalm l03: l-5. Reading this every morning, I leave the house with no fear.
When you read my book, ” On The Wings of The Wind,” you will find how God comes onto you if you will listen for him. Being a widow, I lived alone and said to myself, Lord you say you will take care of me, and he was there instantly. I gave my life (soul) to him. If you read my book, ” On The Wings of The Wind,” I wrote exactly how I lived for seven years and how God brought my incredible new life and husband to me.
Our book, people are telling us, they are reading it over and over, and they can’t put it down and my husband wants now to read it. So what does that tell you? I write the truth in everything I do. I don’t know how to live any other way. And I am glad you do too. God Bless you and he will when you live in him.
Blessings,
Chaplain James and Pat
Lillie,
Their story sounds very interesting, and as a believer in Jesus Christ, I always love to hear inspirational stories about those whose faith has been strengthened through hardship.
Look forward to reading about the interview.
Andrew´s last blog post..Why do real estate and used car sales attract crooks?
Andrew,
I think you will enjoy the interview.
passionate indeed, just look at that picture, how lovely couple they are. for sure, they are one of those successful couple that had succeeded life because of faith.
Kenneth,
The Taylors are on a mission to tell everyone about the power of the Holy Spirit, and how each of us can have a personal relationship with the Lord.
Kenneth,
You are right on, I don’t know how to live any other way, and I am still here. We need God and he needs us to tell people, live through him and you will live an incredible life.
Read Psalm l03:l-5 like I do ,and you can walk out your door in the morning, without fear facing today. Read scripture, Isaiah and we are living in those times right now. My husband is teaching it to a large class each week, and we are in scary times. We need the Lord more than ever. But with the faith I have, I have no fear, just fear for others. In the bible, it says, only a few will be chosen. That’s what bothers me.
In my book, ” On The Wings of The Wind,” you will read how instantly God can turn you around. And why not? Our body is his temple and he is there, just for the asking. Why is everybody waiting to seek God ? They’re seeking everywhere else. I want everyone in the world to know God. Just by the asking and having the faith and belief like I have and read the book, I have made it so clear for people to find him. We own nothing, he owns it all; Gods’ love of the universe, shares it with us all abundantly.
Blessings

Their picture shows the huge love they had with each other. Their smiles reveals the good spirit inside them. Their faith in Christ probably the best thing that holds them to keep on going whatever trials and failures they’d experience. They clung on and grabbed the holy spirit that binds them through the wings of their love.

A very good description, Travis.
Travis,
Thank you for your beautiful words.
Yes, keeping my eyes on God and faith has led me down to an incredible life we should all live.
If only everyone would read our book, On The Wings of The Wind.” It’s so simple to read and understand what we can tell them what faith and belief in God can do for them, just by the asking.
People can find in the bible that God tells us the Holy Spirit dwells in us and is waiting for us to open up to him and he will lead us to an incredible life. And oh, how we need it now in this world. People are running all over the place looking and searching for something and it’s not there. Only through the “Holy Spirit will we find peace and harmony. Strong faith and belief is the key to Gods heart.
Please read Psalm l03:l-5 every morning like I do and have. I leave the house with no fear each morning. I even thank God when I am out on the busy highways. I walk with him beside me, talking as I go. If I could just get people to open up and let God know they know he’s with them (and is.)
My Chaplain husband James, is right now teaching Isaiah the scripture as we are in these times and its scary.
Thank you for blogging and any time you want to talk, clue me in. I’m just learning how to blog.
Blessings,
Chaplain James and Pat

I love how a real person is actually responding to the post, its not very often that it happens. Thanks! Also thanks for the your previous comments on getting a book published
Jamie,
A real person responds to every comment on my blog. Most of the time, when I interview an author or talk about their book, they’re here in person to visit with commenters.
