He Is Risen! He Is Risen Indeed!
April 12, 2009 by Lillie
When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go to anoint Jesus’ body. Very early on the first day of the week, just after sunrise, they were on their way to the tomb and they asked each other, “Who will roll the stone away from the entrance of the tomb?”
But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.
“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him. But go, tell his disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him, just as he told you.’ “
~ Mark 16:1-7
He is risen and He shall reign forever and ever! Hallejah!

Amen!
Dawn,
I hope you had a blessed Easter Sunday.
Lillie,
I love that song.
Too often, the resurrection is viewed as a bit of an afterthought during the Easter break, and I love songs like this that provide a timely reminder of how Christ did not stay dead on the cross.
Instead, he is rose again to be with the father in heaven, a truly marvelous and wonderful cause for celebration.

That is a lovely song, not one for religious music normally but in this day and age I find myself drawn to it more and more.
Thank you.

Amen, indeed!
Hallelujah! That was a great song. I have the best Easter experience this year because this is the fist time I attended an easter vigil. I’m now looking forward to celebrating it again next year.

That’s a lovely passage. I can’t imagine how Mary felt.
Amy,
I read a book recently, a novel by Francine Rivers, about Mary. Although it was fiction, I think she captured many of the emotions Mary must have gone through in the years between being told by the angel she would be the mother of the Son of God and watching her grown child die on the cross.
Hallelujah !! The revival was indeed a blessed one and I cant even think about a world without him
Lillie may I know the name and details of the person playing the keyboard in that song. He seems to be a maestro. Look how quick his fingers are..

Girish,
Anthony Burger was the pianist for the Gaithers. This performance was the Christmas season of 2005. Anthony Burger died the following February while playing the piano in a performance with the Gaithers on a cruise ship. He was an amazing man and musician as you can read in this article about his death: http://www.christianexaminer.com/Articles/Articles%20Mar06/Art_Mar06_04.html
Christmas season is fast approaching and I wish everybody do not forget the reason for the season. Jesus.
Amen, Alan.
This video makes me to recollect this years Easter day. Our family went to the church and we had a nice time. The gathering was good and we got the opportunity to thank beloved god for giving us such a wonderful life.

This is certainly a fitting post to read on Christmas Day because it shows the result of the birth of that little baby in Bethlehem on Christmas.
Excellent song. I love this song so much. These messages need to spread throughout the world. Thank you so much for your article.
