Way of the Cross

April 11, 2009 by Lillie

Yesterday, I attended the Way of the Cross service, then I spent an hour in the Vigil at the Altar of Repose. Good Friday is always a day of meditation of prayer.

This short video is the differents from all religions. He got up from the grave and lives forever more. Thank God for the cross because Jesus paid a price that no one else could pay.

Truby,

So true! He suffered, died, and was buried for us. Then He rose again and will raise us as well and reign forever and ever. Alleluia!

Sriraj,

It is good for us to be in awe and find Jesus’ sacrifice incredible. We should never take it for granted.

Most people do not realize what Jesus have to go through for us…

All they think about is, big deal he died… saw it in the movies couple of times…

But what most never thought about, during this time not only does Jesus have to suffer the physical pain, but also have to put on the WORLD’s sin on his back past present and future sins. Imagine watching every sin of every people you have ever loved and carry it with you. Imagine seeing your newborn baby and saw the sin he or she commit in the future, wouldn’t that really hurt you? Now multiply that a gazillion times. That’s does not even comes close to what Jesus have to suffer for us…

home (if you wrote YourName@Keywords, I could address you as a real person, and you would still get your keyword link),

You have said it very well. It has been only in recent years that I have come to understand that Christ’s suffering was from the burden of the sins of the world—and my own sin—more than from the physical pain and death.
