It’s often easy to focus on what we don’t have or what hasn’t happened yet rather than what we do have or what has already happened. But it’s much better to focus on the positive, both making life better at the time and leaving the door open for even better things to happen.

Lillie, thanks for being so open. It sounds like you have been through alot. God has taken care of you though and that is Good. I am glad to hear you say that you knew you were healed on the the third day of your paralysis, even though it took five years to completely overcome. You would probably surprise yourself if you ever found yourself in such a situation. You have to make a choice either to keep going in spite of the difficulties or to crawl under the covers and feel sorry for yourself. That’s no life.

I remember the story of Corrie Ten Boom who as a child feared she didn’t have enough faith. Her father told her that, just as he didn’t give her money until she was ready to go to the store, God wouldn’t give her more faith until she needed it. And she had the faith she needed during the Holocaust to save many Jews from death.
