Thanx to share about this new book Love Reader’s Group.I will sure read it….

    • Lillie says:

      Hary,

The scavenger hunt should be fun, and the group is a good way to find out about books and authors.

  2. Bluestocking says:

I will have to check it out! How did I miss this group?

    • Lillie says:

      Bluestocking,

The yahoo group is new; the scavenger hunt is to get the word out to readers. However, Books We Love has been around for several years. It’s listed in my resources and I’ve posted about it a few times before, but it’s been awhile—maybe before you started reading my blog. There’s also a blog by BWL authors—it’s listed in my blogroll.

  3. Gabriel from Maine Children's Books says:

This seems like a nice thing for my mom to join. I’ll tell her about it. Her name is Angeli Perrow and she has 3 published children’s books with another one in the pipeline. Thanks for the information.

    • Lillie says:

      Gabriel,

Thanks for sharing this with your mom. I’m a great admirer of anyone who writes children’s books. That would be very difficult for me.

      • Gabriel from Maine Books says:

I know that she really enjoys it and it has become a big part of her identity. She also enjoys doing author visits to her local schools.

        • Lillie says:

That’s great, Gabriel. It’s so important for kids to have positive role models, and I’m sure she’s that on her school visits.

    • Lillie says:

      Helen,

It is a fun group, especially for readers who like to get to know authors.

Of course, it’s also great for authors who like to interact with readers. Not all members may be interested in my books, but all members are interested in books and some will be interested in mine.

  6. Karen Swim says:

Lillie, what a clever idea and another great way to unite those who share a love of books. Thanks for sharing this on the blog!

  7. Revenue Bin says:

I would but I don’t really have time. Sounds fun though!

    Great blog by the way.

Revenue (if you wrote YourName@Keyword, I could address you as a real person, and you would still get your keyword link),

The scavenger hunt will take time, but for many avid readers the time is well-spent if they’re learning about new books and authors and have a chance to win free books.

  8. Adam from folk art says:

Thanks for that blog info. Joining the group is worth considering. regards

    • Lillie says:

      Adam,

If you’re a reader who enjoys meeting authors and finding new books, the BWL Readers group is a great one to join.

I don’t normally read books nowadays because of the excessive use of internet. Any way I will check this one

    • Lillie says:

      Shanavas,

I’m on the Internet all the time, too, but I still love to read books. I always try to read a few pages or a chapter when I eat a meal alone; my husband usually isn’t around for at least one meal of the day so I get some reading in every day.

  15. Kathy from Paid Surveys Reviews says:

What a wonderful idea. I use to read a lot but sadly not so much anymore, kids. I do read to them, but only books with lots of pictures :) (over and over again :) . I see posts are dated 2009 but I will check it out anyway. Lille, you have created a great blog in here:)

    • Lillie says:

      Kathy,

Books We Love is no longer a promotional group of authors. It is now a publisher, so the books and authors are different from the time of the scavenger hunt. My book, for example, is no longer there.
