Words Matter Week: An Invitation to Write on “Words Matter”

February 28, 2009 by Lillie

My last post tells about Words Matter Week, coming up next week.

GregR wrote this comment:

What would be fun if in Words Matter Week get a pile of Bloggers to post their thoughts under the tag WordsMatter to build awareness.

Janice Campbell, Director of the National Association Independent Writers and Editors (NAIWE), the sponsor of Words Matter Week, came along and wrote this:

I love Greg’s idea of having bloggers post on the topic. Let’s spread the word!

Bloggers, please consider yourselves invited to write on the idea that “words matter.” I’ve added a Mr. Linky to the news.naiwe.com blog, so that people will be able to easily find the various posts. This ought to be interesting!

So, bloggers, let’s share how words matter! You’re invited to write your post and add the link to the NAIWE blog.

Hello

This is a great idea of expressing how do “Words Matter” to each of individual in his/her life. No one can deny the importance of WORDS.

What a gracious invitation to write about the importance that words matter. We need to keep the use of language alive, not the condensed versions that are becoming ever more popular with the up and coming generation.

I think this is a great idea as well. The primary blog I have right now would not be a good fit for this, but I have some others that I could easily do it with.
