Happy Valentine’s Day to you, too, Bluestocking.

Not sure if it’s my computer/browser or if there is a problem with your post, but I can see only part of it. It seems to cut off the in the middle.

  2. Minnesota Attorney says:

I did. We had a special date and an enjoyable movie together. Valentines day is really special for us.

Minnesota (if you wrote YourName@Keywords, I could address you as a real person, and you would still get your keyword link),

Glad you had a great Valentine’s Day … but it’s a little hard to envision Minnesota Attorney enjoying a romantic evening. :-)

Darn sorry Lillie I missed asking you to be my valentine! :( guess I will have to wait till next year!
    Happy Belated Valentines Day! :)

  4. Happy Valentine’s Day! I’m not a huge celebrator of the day, but I’m no scrooge. I bought one of the amazingly beautiful custom valentine’s for James and he made dinner for me last night.

    • Lillie says:

how (if you wrote YourName@Keywords, I could address you as a real person, and you would still get your keyword link),

I’m glad you and James had a lovely Valentine’s Day. Having someone cook dinner for you is always romantic … but it seems that it would be more romantic with James and YourName instead of James and howtoimport. :-)

  5. Scott@Acai Berry says:

Valentine is the name of the great lover.Valentines day is for all the lovers in the world. It is the great day for each and everyone who are in love.

    Joslyn´s last blog post..Henderson, Nevada

    • Lillie says:

      Joslyn,

Actually I believe Valentine is the name of two Christian martyrs. One was said to be a priest who married couples against the law because the emperor thought single men made better soldiers. Legend has it that one of them wrote a note to the jailer’s daughter—whom he was either love with or whom he had healed—the night before he was executed and signed it “from your Valentine.”

But regardless of whether the original Valentine was a lover or a priest, the day definitely is a day for lovers.

I was going to comment that you seem to be one of the kindest people I’ve run across on the web. But your reply shows me that you are a pretty smart cookie as well. Happy Valentine’s Day.

Happy late Valentines, glad this year went off without a hitch.

Always funny to see how many guys are all standing around the V-day cards on V-day at Target. Good place to check for any husband/boyfriends if you think they may be super last minute shoppers : P

    • Lillie says:

      Sam,

Your comment gave me a chuckle. I can just picture the card section of Target or any store at the end of Valentine’s Day with frantic men trying to find the perfect card. :-)

I’m teaching my daughter that Valentine’s Day isn’t just for lovers … it’s for anybody who loves anybody! So this year, I helped her make a Valentine’s Day card for her dad. It was a bit funny-looking and messy, but my husband says it’s the best greeting card he has ever received!

Happy Valentine’s Day Lillie (for Valentine’s 2011)! There … now you have been greeted in July twice ;)

Thought you might enjoy a Valentine’s Day poem I wrote.

    Love?
    It’s a splendid thing
    sweet harts and chocolates
    and diamond rings
    It emerges at family
    functions
    it’s a positive
    unction
    to propel me and you
    to make one being
    of two.
