I don’t know of a place to easily find blogs that are open to guest posts. There are so many blogs on so many topics a list probably wouldn’t be especially helpful to someone trying to reach a specific audience.

I’m going to write more about blog book tours and how to find hosts next week.

But in general, the best thing to do is to target blogs that would be good for your subject matter. Visit the blogs and comment regularly so the bloggers get to know you. Then simply e-mail the blogger and ask if s/he is open to guest posts.

Some bloggers may be open but have never advertised the fact; some may not have considered guest posts would be willing if you approach them, especially if they know you from comments and recognize that you know your subject and are articulate.

Hi, are there resources or lists of blogs that welcome guest writers/guest posts? I have seen one or two blogs where there are guest writers but not a place to easily find them.

Thanks, Justin. I find that many bloggers welcome guest posts if the topic is related to the topic of their blog. That’s why I’ve written about blogging, novel writing, submitting manuscripts, and a variety of other topics—all somehow related to writing—to meet the needs of the host blogs.
