Lillie, I pray all goes well. I am excited to see the changes! I’ll keep checking my feed reader.
Thank you, Karen! You are so sweet. I have been wanting to do this for ages—I have created several client sites on Revolution themes, but my own site has been like the shoemaker’s children …
Good luck Lillie – I know how challenging a blog redesign can be… but also how exciting! I’m looking forward to seeing the end results.

Hi Lillie,
Just wanted to stop by and say hello!
Bluestockings last blog post..Note from an author
interesting. i look forward to the changes as well.
hope there won’t be too many hiccups.
Lillie, you are soooo industrious! Please stop, you’re making the rest of us (okay….me….) look bad. Ha!
Good luck, have fun redesigning, and I can’t wait to see what you have in store for us!
Joanna,
At least I’m not moving my residence at the same time I’m redesigning my blog, like your recent experience.
Thanks, Renae. I hope it turns out as well in execution as it looks in my head.
Bluestocking,
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you come back often. I’ll be posting regularly again as soon as the blog revamp is complete.
Kouji,
Thank you. I, too, hope there won’t be too many hiccups. None would be the right number … but I’m sure there will be some.
Jennifer,
And I’ve been creating blogs and Web sites for clients using the Revolution theme and having to explain that my own blog is still on a free theme because I haven’t had time to upgrade. My plan is to upgrade both the design and the Web site content.
I’m combining my Web site and my blog. My Web site has been sitting around with no updates for a couple of years … and no design changes for many, many years … so you can see I haven’t been very industrious.
Best of luck in the redesign. I’ll come and check it out when its done.
Ed,
I hope you like the new design and that you come back often.
maybe just one hiccup at most then.
good luck with the work.

I’m always looking for design inspiration, so I await your retooling with bated breath.

kouji,
Thanks! I’ll look forward to one hiccup only.
Alina,
Thank you. Incorporating a Web site that’s been around for a zillion years or so with the blog is a bit of a challenge, but I’m excited about it.
Thanks!
I tried to leave a comment on your blog but for some reason couldn’t get it to go through. Seeing your pottery brought back memories of the days I owned a plant and pottery shop with a partner, a potter. She made pottery and taught classes in a workroom in the back—we even had a room with a kiln. I was around pottery-making all the time though I never did it myself. We also sold pottery on consignment for a lot of local potters. When we closed the store, I ended up with a nice collection of pottery, both decorative and functional.
It’s always a good idea to get your goals out there. Accountability is a wonderful way to push things forward!
Looking forward to the improvements

wilson,
I hope the new transformation makes it better.
Don’t change those yellow flowers, I love them.
Peter,
I love the yellow lilies, too. I’m still going to have yellow lilies … but not these. You’ll just have to wait and see what the new ones look like.
Hope it will be even better than what your blog is now…

My biggest challenge is time—I told all my clients I wouldn’t be available this week … but that hasn’t stopped those urgent requests.

I can’t wait either.

Looking forward to your new design. How exciting!

Thanks, Amy. It’s about time I updated my Web site, and I’ve wanted to incorporate the blog and Web site together for a long time.
Hi Lillie! Long time no talk… I was happy to see you at eWritings the other day.
I haven’t been online so much in the past months, and even now I only turn on my PC to check out my emails and to post a new entry every now and again – to keep my blogs alive. It appears we all go through changes this autumn.
Well, I wish you good luck with the new design – knowing you, I know it will be awesome… You’ll probably still keep yellow, your favorite color (you should, it represents your soul). I can hardly wait to see the results!

Mig,
It’s so good to hear from you. I’ve missed you recently.
Of course, I’m keeping yellow and I’m keeping lilies. It wouldn’t be my blog otherwise.
Lillie,
You have one of the loveliest blogs I’ve ever seen. I can’t WAIT to see what you’ve got planned! Best of luck.
Regards,
Rita
Thanks, Rita. One minute I think it’s great … then the next I wonder why I’m changing.
I’ve spent way too much time trying to decide what color to make the links.
If I quit dithering, it will be ready soon.
I for one appreciate when someone updates there blog frequently. Not just the content but the asthetic of it. Kinda like you know like getting your car washed, I mean it’s not a new car but it feels good to drive around again.
Lillie, It’s always exciting to change up a blog. I felt totally revitalized when I did mine. Can’t wait to see what you do!
Hi, Lillie,
So sorry it has been a while since I stopped by. Life has been very hectic lately. I haven’t had much time for writing my blogs or reading others. Btw, please try my guestbook again when you get a chance. I think whatever the glitch was with slide.com has been fixed because it is finally adding people.
Hugs,
Tammy

I tried to leave a comment on your blog but for some reason couldn’t get it to go through. it is very excited to me.
Always and exciting and slightly scary task when changing things around. Just be sure to have a test URL with a blocked robots.txt file in there so avoid the duplicate content penalty from Google. Also, having learned from my mistakes, ALWAYS have a backup of your backup database. I did an ‘upgrade’ for a buddy a while back and managed to corrupt an sql database in the process. After many hours of recoding and fixing invalid arguments, we finally get it back in order, but whoa nelly…lesson learned.

This is a great blog Lillie, I can’t wait to see the new layout. I hope it’s coming along well!
Melissa,
I’m behind because I’ve been under the weather but hope to be back soon.
Your comment may have gone into spam—if it was a generic “great post” type of comment, I usually delete those unless it is from a commenter who has been here before since I’m fighting spam as described in an earlier post. I appreciate comments that are relevant to the post or that at least show that you have read the post you are commenting on.
Thanks for the tips. I had the experience of not backing up the database on an upgrade some time back and had to get my Web host to restore it for me. Fortunately, my host is very accomodating even though he wasn’t obligated to do that for me. Now I’ve learned my lesson.
Mark,
Thanks. The new design is coming along fine but I haven’t been able to work on it as much as I would like because I’ve been under the weather. I’m getting close now, though.
