Memorial Day

May 26, 2008 by

ALMIGHTY God, our heavenly Father, in whose hands are the living and the dead; We give thee thanks for all those thy servants who have laid down their lives in the service of our country. Grant to them thy mercy and the light of thy presence, that the good work which thou hast begun in them may be perfected; through Jesus Christ thy Son our Lord. Amen.

    Vaughn,
I think most people are smart enough to know there are things worth dying for. We’re just not all brave enough or selfless enough to be willing to do so.

  3. On this Memorial Day in the year of our Lord 2008, a few thoughts cross my mind that I’d like to share. Over the years, many many of my American brethren have made the supreme sacrifice in addition to huge amounts of our treasure, for the sake of this country and for the sake of many other countries. For this we celebrate Memorial Day to honor our fallen heroes. One particular occurrence comes to mind to remind us of a major event in world history. And it’s depicted in this short presentation on the World Wide Web.
