This is the most powerful rendition of Amazing Grace I’ve ever heard along with a fascinating bit of history about Negro spirituals, white spirituals, and the “slave scale.”

Theda,
I’m glad it gave you chills as it does me every time I listen to it.
Thanks, Scott! It is amazing.
Lisa,
I’m glad you were as moved as I was.
I’m not sure who Samuel L. Jackson is or what he has to do with this rendition of Amazing Grace by Whitley Phipps, but this rendition is really powerful.
