Self-Publishing Primer
October 22, 2007 by Lillie
The Self-Publishing Primer started as a series of fourteen posts early this year.
To make the primer more convenient and accessible, I have compiled the posts into an e-book (PDF). You can download the file here.
If you download the primer, please let me know if you find any errors. As I’ve said many times, it’s difficult even for an editor to edit her own work.
Ask any questions you have or let me know what other information you’d like in comments. I’m planning to write more about POD as this subject has come up at the Weekend Writers Cafe at Grow Your Writing Business.

I have the book and I will read it these days. At the first sight I can tell you that I simply love the page layout and the way you structured and illustrated your content. It’s pretty clear who is the professional here.
Oh… I am not a designer, Lillie. I like doing some design, but I am not a designer. Anyway, what I wanted to tell you: I finished the book and it is excellent. It will particularly help me publish my SEO book (which is almost ready by the way, and I expect to launch it in January next year).
You know, Lillie, I’m not sure.
When I self-published my novel, I sent out tons of galley copies but never ended up getting blurbs before I pulled the book.
Anyway, I believe if he sends out a bunch of galley copies, he should get some good back-cover blurbs.
Thanks,
Paula
Thank you for the generous offer, Lillie. I’ll think if something
Right now there is still a lot of work to be done, but I can already tell you that this book will be… really different from what everyone expects.
