I’ll Be Back

October 18, 2007 by Lillie

Just wanted to post a note to let you know I’m playing catch up and will miss a few days of blogging. My husband had a heart problem, and I’m catching up from spending time with him at the hospital and dealing with side-effects of his medication after he came home. He’s doing much better now, and I hope to be back on a regular schedule next week.

We miss you Lillie. Really glad to hear your husband is doing better, though!

  2. Helen Ginger’s right, you will be missed, but you have to take care of hubby first. ;)

I will keep your husband in my prayers.

I sure hope your husband is feeling better soon!

Are you over on the MomGadget forum? This is Angela.. can you let me know what your alias is over there? As a Gack Ink member I need to do something for you. My screen name is “angela” over there. Shoot me a PM, will ya?

  4. Sorry to read of the family difficulties. Take care of yourself, too!

Lillie, I’m glad to hear you and your husband are okay.

I was a little concerned as I hadn’t seen your posts this week – but now I see you have been posting, but they haven’t been reaching my feed-reader. I thought I’d better mention it in case there’s something up with your feed? You can run it through feedburner’s analytic service – I broke mine unwittingly a few weeks ago with a bit of code and it showed me straight away what was up with it.

    Best wishes

    Joanna

  9. Hi folks:

First and foremost, I want to sincerely and humbly thank everyone for their well wishes. May God bless you. Prayer Warriors are absolutely indispensable.

Simply put, my heart sped up to about 140 beats per minute instantly from one beat to the next…NOT GOOD. I immediately discovered this and instantly knew I had to do something right now. Lillie and I got in the car and drove to the Emergency Room. I told them I was familiar with the situation and all I needed was a cardio-version…which I affectionately call “a paddle job.” Well, after several hours of their disbelief that I even knew what I was talking about, they finally called my primary care Cardiologist…he came right over with all the equipment…did the “paddle job” and, “wa la”, I’m fixed and on my way at 60 beats per minute…LOL. And all the Emergency Room personnel were “drop-jawed.” Then I spent several days in the hospital to “donate about four quarts of blood”…at least that’s what it felt like…and get my medication adjusted to keep this from happening again.

I think the Lord was looking over me. May God bless every one of my Prayer Angels and Warriors.

“Mr. Lillie,” I’m so glad to hear that you are doing better!

Lillie, it always seems worse when it happens to someone you love than when it happens to you.

So glad that both of you are doing better and that life is getting back to normal. I kept both of you in my prayers.

  11. Matt Keegan says:

Lillie, I am glad to hear that Jack is doing much better. Any illness is a trial and heart problems are no fun.

But, it does sound as if God has His loving arms wrapped around you two!

My prayers are with you both.

  12. Lillie says:

Thanks, Ginger. It’s nice to be missed. And I appreciate the good wishes for my husband.

  13. Lillie says:

Thank you for your prayers, Misti. I believe Jack is doing so well because of all the prayers from our church, family, and friends. I sent a message to my clients to let them know my availability would be limited for a little while, and many of them prayed for him as well. We’re blessed to have so many praying friends.
