My friend, Chaplain Jerry Sherbourne, told me about Adopt-a-Chaplain and said it was a tremendous help to him when he was deployed to Iraq.

This looks like a great program--and surely our chaplains deserve it!

Thanks for the comment, Hummie. My site isn't monetized either - it's just for fun. But I like to express my appreciation to commenters who DO care about traffic and SEO with Do Follow. But it's strictly a personal choice, and it's fine if you prefer not to do it.

What I should have said when I said comments could be searched is that any time the original post is found - through a search engine or any other means - the comments are there to be read with it. So if someone searches on a particular subject and goes to posts where you have commented, they will find your comments.

This sounds like a wonderful program and I am glad to read that someone is doing this. The chaplains are a vital part of the need of the soldiers.

In reply to your comment on my post, you stated that comments are searched. They are not searched unless you complete the instructions of "do follow." Your comment on my site is not searched as I do not have the correct settings to allow that. However, I understand you to say your settings are that way and, therefore, my comment here would be searched.

Yes, comment are public, but they are not easier found through search engines unless "do follow" is set up. I am not keen on the idea of someone being able to do a search and quickly finding every comment I made everywhere all over the internet. You never know about bad guys out there...or even someone personally could use it...you just never know what will come up in the future that you wish you had not made all those comments....at least that is the way I feel personally.

I do not care about ranking, so I do not care about numbers....and I do not make money off of my site....so I have no need to participate in "do follow."

I do like the concept of Ireply though...that just seems like good manners.
