Thinking Again … Still?

June 1, 2007 by Lillie

Thanks to Mihaela Lica (Mig) at Pamil Visions’ eWritings for tagging me with the Thinking Blogger Award. Mig is insightful and passionate, one of my favorite bloggers, so I consider it a high honor to be recognized by her.

According to the originator of the meme, Ilker Yoldas at The Thinking Blog:

The participation rules are simple:

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme.

Since I received this award previously from Laura Spencer at Writing Thoughts, I’ve already named five blogs that make me think. You can see the five blogs I tagged then at A Writer’s Words, an Editor’s Eye Receives the Thinking Blogger Award! Now the challenge is to come up with five more – not a challenge because of the paucity of blogs that make me think but a challenge because many of them have already been recognized, and I’d like to include blogs that may have been overlooked. I don’t see anything on their sites to indicate they have already been tagged.

Sam Chan at Acquire Wisdom and Live with Passion: Although Sam doesn’t write original material, he shares great quotes that motivate and inspire … and make me think, and he’s recently started a Question and Answer Exchange.

Theda K. Rogers at Crayon Writer: Theda is a WAHM copywriter who recently started a great conversation about writers’ preferences for writing or editing.

Matt Jones at Random Acts of Verbiage: Matt is a Christian blogger who writes insightful and thought-provoking posts primarily about religion.

Paula at PAULA NEAL MOONEY: Paula writes about blogging and other topics with a distinctive writing voice.

Howard Freeman at SurfCountry: Howard’s recent post on his blackest moment brought tears to my eyes – he has overcome tremendous challenges, and his eloquent writing and dramatic story combine to make the reader think and feel.

Those are five of a number of blogs that make me think.

Lillie, thanks for thinking of my blog (no pun intended). I appreciate the honor. And congratulations on your anniversary!

You’re welcome, Theda. The conversation you started on editing vs. writing especially made me think. And thanks for the congratulations.

You’ve got some good links here, including a few to blogs that I didn’t know about. I look forward to checking them out.

Laura,

The only problem with being introduced to so many great blogs is time! I keep trying to cut back on my feeds … but for every blog I delete, I subscribe to two more. :-)

Wonderful nominations, Lillie! I love to find so many nice blogs in one entry. I like Paula a lot, though I’m too often a lurker on her site. :)

And thank you for your kind words. I didn’t know… I am flattered.

Thanks, Matt. You were awarded the Thinking Blog Award the first time before I discovered your blog through the Christian Carnival. I enjoyed reading your excellent choices.
